The FIR has been filed against 40 people of which two have been arrested.
A Whatsapp group called "Stop the V ritual" was formed to raise awareness against the ill-practice of determining virginity of a bride on the wedding night.
A formal complaint was also filed with the police against the custom, claiming it to be illegal and unconstitutional.
According to the ritual, the panchayat of Kanjarbhat community lays a white-bed sheets on the bride's first night, if the next morning sheet has been stained with red colour then the bride passes the test otherwise she gets accused of having physical relations prior to her marriage.
However, the people of the community calls this non-consensual ritual their tradition and says that it should be done otherwise our girls would be spoilt.
