At least 24 migrant labourers lost their lives while several injured after the truck they were travelling in collided with another truck in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh.

The accident took place at around 3:30 am. 

''24 people were brought dead, 22 have been admitted while 15 who were critically injured have been referred to Saifai PGI. They were going to Bihar & Jharkhand from Rajasthan when the accident took place,'' said Archana Srivastava, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Auraiya

Most of the victims are from Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
