Watch: 10 students die in accident due to fog in Punjab

The dense fog in Bhatinda, Punjab has resulted in a huge accident leading to the death of at least 10 students with at least 25 others injured. 

The low visibility due to the smog in Bhatinda led to the collision of four vehicles.

A truck rammed into a Scorpio and then collided with the college bus killing ten students. 

The accident happened in Bhucho mandi, a village in Bhatinda. 

One student who suffered serious injuries was referred to PGIMER hospital in Chandigarh.

Finance minister of Punjab, Manpreet Singh Badal has assured one lakh as compensation to the students who have died in the accident.

The 25 injured have been promised compensation of Rs 50,000.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner said that a college bus had stopped on the expressway, a truck collided with a Scorpio which hit the college bus.
