J&K: 1 BSF soldier killed, 3 civilians injured as Pak troops open fire along LoC
A BSF soldier lost his life after a ceasefire violation by the Pakistan forces in the R S Pura sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
The firing by Pakistan troops also hit neighbouring villages injuring 3 civilians.
BSF soldier, A Suresh, who was killed after Pak troops opened fire hailed from Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. He belonged to the 78 BN BSF security force.
The Pakistan forces opened fire at the Indian sector at around 9 pm on Wednesday.
The Indian soldiers retaliated which continued till 6 am on Thursday.
Keeping in view the continuous ceasefire violations by the Pakistan army, the district administration has asked all officers to remain in the state at the highest level of military preparedness, additional deputy commissioner of Jammu Arun Manhas said.
