It is a direct follow-up to the previous film ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’.

Good news for ‘Spider-Man’ fans as the first trailer of Tom Holland-starrer ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ has finally come out.

The new film will have Peter Parker (the geeky kid who turns into a cool superhero) head to Europe with his classmates on a school trip. According to Sony producer Amy Pascal, the plot of ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ is set "minutes after Avengers: Endgame wraps as a story".

The movie is said to show Spider-Man adjust to the surroundings and normal life after the catastrophe that happened in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ -- leading to the death of half the world’s population.

It is a direct follow-up to the Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios joint production ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’.

In the trailer, we also get to see a new character called Mysterio played by Jake Gyllenhaal who is fighting against a group of immortal beings called Elementals. There’s also a budding love story between Peter and Michelle Jones, played by Zendaya.

The movie is directed by Jon Watts and is scheduled to hit theatres on July 5, 2019.
