Watch Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's next 'Luka Chuppi' trailer

Now that they have our attention after releasing several interesting posters of their next film ‘Luka Chuppi, the makers have finally come out with the much-awaited trailer starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. 

The film is a desi rom-com that has bits and pieces of small towns like Mathura, Gwalior and Agra. Kartik plays the character of a star reporter from a local TV channel while Kriti Sanon is a Mathura girl who went to Delhi to study and is now back in her hometown. 

As the trailer opens, you see Kartik influenced by celebrity weddings, popping the question to Kriti only to have a ‘no’ from the love of his life. She, on the other hands, suggests that they try live-in before considering marriage. The two finally agree and that’s where it all starts. 

They fake their wedding to society so as to live together in a flat only for their families to find out. Kartik’s parents then reach out to the couple and force them to return home and live with them. 

Kartik and Kriti look good together.

The film is directed by cinematographer Laxman Utekar, who has worked in films like ‘Blue’, ‘Dear Zindagi’ and ‘English Vinglish’.
