Veteran Marathi actor Ramesh Bhatkar passes away from cancer

Veteran Marathi film actor and stage artiste Ramesh Bhatkar died in Mumbai on Monday. He was 70.The actor was suffering from cancer for some time. He was the husband of Bombay HC judge Mridula Bhaskar. The actor was well known for his role in TV series `Commander` and `Hello Inspector.`
Soon after his death, actor Anupam Kher posted a message on Twitter, remembering Bhatkar. He wrote, "Really saddened to know about untimely demise of veteran actor #RameshBhatkar. I had the opportunity to meet him briefly on the sets of #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister. May God rest his soul in peace and give his family the courage to deal with the loss."

Actress Sonali Kulkarni too took to Twitter and posted about the actor. She wrote, "Such a warm person...handsome actor.. and people’s man...RIP Ramesh Bhatkar. I have always missed your gappa, invite and now - forever..! Strength to Mrudula ma’am #RIP #RameshBhatkar."
