Oscars 2021 ceremony gets a new date, scheduled for April 25

We last told you that the Academy board members were to get together to decide on the official date of the next year’s ceremony. Well, they have and the 2021 Oscars has been scheduled for April 25. The dates have been shifted from February 28 to April 25, 2021.

Ben Stiller to direct Oscar Isaac in ‘London'

Ben will direct Oscar in the film that is an adaptation of a short story by The Snowman author Jo Nesbo. It will be written for the screen by Eric Roth, the same guy who won an Oscar for ‘Forrest Gump’ and was nominated last for ‘A Star Is Born’.

BAFTA 2021 to be held on April 11, eligibility period extended

The British Academy Film and Television Awards now has a new date. After it was earlier pushed to February 14 because of the coronavirus pandemic, BAFTA has been pushed further so that it doesn't coincide with Oscars ceremony.

Star Wars Celebrations cancelled amid coronavirus pandemic

Star Wars celebration is the latest event to have gotten affected due to coronavirus pandemic. The Star Wars convention organized ReedPop in partnership with Lucasfilm has been canceled ahead of its late summer schedule.This is the first time the event has been cancelled in Celebration history.
