TMC MP- actress Nusrat Jahan hospitalised for 'breathing problem'

Bengali film actress Nusrat Jahan has been admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata after she complained of 'breathing problem'. Jahan was taken to Apollo Hospital in Kolkata on Sunday after she reportedly complained of breathing problems. Sources state that the actress has a history of asthma. 

Abhishek Majumdar, the spokesperson for the actor, said Nusrat will be released from the hospital by Monday evening. News of her falling sick due to medicine overdose was doing the rounds earlier, which the actor’s family rubbished later. 

Earlier this year, during the Lok Sabha elections, Nusrat Jahan had defeated her nearest rival BJP’s Sayantan Ghosh by 3,50,369 votes. She won on a TMC ticket. 

Soon after winning the elections, Nusrat Jahan tied the knot with Kolkata-based businessman Nikhil Jain in the Turkish town of Bodrum in June. The couple had later hosted a grand reception in Kolkata which was attended by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and other celebrities from Bengal film industry.
