Ironically, it is the same day when Texas was reported to get hit with more than 1,000 new coronavirus cases.

The world needs to learn and mend its ways as the coronavirus outbreak doesn’t seem to slow down. In a new update from the US, on Friday, the Texas Governor Greg Abbott began loosening the state’s coronavirus restrictions and allowed movie theatres and select businesses to reopen doors.

As a precaution, the movie theatres are allowed to function at a 25 per cent capacity while keeping in mind COVID-19 safety precautions. Still, major movie theater chains like Cinemark, AMC and Alamo Drafthouse decided to remain temporarily closed while Evo Entertainment and Santikos Entertainment have opted to open a few of their theaters on May 2.

Ironically, it is the same day when Texas was reported to get hit with more than 1,000 new coronavirus cases for the third consecutive day.

According to officials, there are now 1,293 new cases, the second-highest single-day infection rate. This marks the first time Texas has recorded more than 1,000 three days in a row.
