Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine may have wanted to do a good deed by donating $200, 000 the nonprofit charity No Kid Hungry, but his gesture has been turned down by the organisation owing to his past records.

The organisation aims at ending childhood hunger and provides meals for underprivileged children.

“@nokidhungry rather take food out the mouth of these innocent children i never seen something so cruel,” the 24-year-old, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, said in a since-deleted Instagram post.

"We are grateful for Mr. Hernandez’s generous offer to donate to No Kid Hungry but we have informed his representatives that we have declined this donation. As a child-focused campaign, it is our policy to decline funding from donors whose activities do not align with our mission and values," a spokeperson of the organsiation told Fox News.

Hernandez was released from a private prison in Jamaica, Queens, in April this year due to the coronavirus pandemic that made the court release him early because of his asthma.

He was arrested in 2019 on charges of racketeering and was to be released in August this year.
