First of all why does everyone have to speak against Sandeep? Have you guys seen Arjun Reddy? It's an epic movie. It depicts reality unlike most movies filled with baseless content. He did justice to Kabir Singh also. #WeSupportSandeepReddyVanga#KabirSingh #SandeepReddyVanga

#WeSupportSandeepReddyVanga, Yes, I do support him, I have seen many movies where women were treated regressively, there was no outrage, film is just entertainment, it's left to your choice

Woman like these are a real threat to the industry -Look at ghostbusters2016, look at mib 2019, look at all the male characters being slowly replaced by female characters to appease these sort of women and they are going flop. #WeSupportSandeepReddyVanga

After receiving flak for his comments on the chat show, Sandeep also spoke with a news agency on Monday and said that he is being misquoted as he was referring to liberty of expression between couples, not violence.
“Go, watch it and enjoy. If you don't like the film then fine. You took me completely wrong. It's not assault. When you're so close to each other when you can't handle your worst thing with each other. And you don't have the liberty of showing your worst side..The worst thing is not 'iss din daaru peeke aake maar rha hai'."
"It's about the liberty of the expression between a couple who is deeply connected. It works for a woman also and it works for a man also. I spoke for both sides. But sadly, they are quoting in a very wrong way" he continued.
Talking about the focus on misogyny and assault on women in the film, the director added that he is not endorsing any such activity and can't reply to everyone in the world.
The film, which hit theatres on June 21, has managed to gross more than Rs. 200 crore in the past three weeks and is still running strong in theatres.
