Sonali Bendre is 'stable, journey positive' writes husband Goldie Behl on cancer treatment

With two of our Bollywood actors undergoing a tough battle with cancer, any positive news on their health is a mood lifter for their ardent fans. We are obviously referring to Irrfan Khan and Sonali Bendre who are both getting treated for cancer in the UK and US respectively. 

As Irrfan shared an update on his health yesterday, calling life “unpredictable” and adding that he is enjoying “unpredictability and spontaneity”, in a candid chat with news agency AP, Irrfan said, "I have had the fourth cycle of chemo. And I have to have six cycles and then we need to have a scan. After the third cycle, the scan was positive. But we need to see after the sixth scan. And then we’ll see where it takes me."

He then said, “There’s no guarantee of life with anybody. My mind could always tell me to hang a kind of chip on your neck and say, “I have this disease and I could die in a few months or a year or two.” Read the full chat here. Also read: Irrfan Khan is battling cancer, one smile at a time

While there is still a lot of uncertainty, another star Sonali Bendre who is currently undergoing treatment had a healthy update as her husband, Goldie Behl wrote to Twitter: “Thank you all for the love and support for Sonali... she is stable and is following her treatment without any complications. This is a long journey but we have begun positively.”

Sonali shared with her fans on July 4 this year that she has been diagnosed with high-grade cancer. She told her fans how painful it is to deal with the tests that led to the diagnosis. She shared that cancer has been metastised.
