Shah Rukh Khan reveals first look of his Netflix production 'Bard of Blood' starring Emraan Hashmi

We told you earlier of Shah Rukh Khan’s latest production venture with Netflix, titled ‘Bard of Blood’. Now, Khan introduced an exclusive preview of the series on Friday. 
 
In a recorded message at Netflix’s See What’s Next event in Singapore, Khan revealed that the show is running behind schedule and the crew is currently filming in Leh. 
 
Coming to the clip revealed, it shows that the series will be a spy story, with Hashmi’s character being the central one amid the backdrop of a ‘Mission: Impossible’-inspired soundtrack. Hashmi’s character goes undercover in what appears to be a covert mission in the Balochistan mountains and is struggling with governmental red tape. The series will explore global terrorism.

Hashmi’s character is called Kabir Anand. He is an expelled spy who is recalled from his new life as a Shakespeare professor in Panchgani to save his country and a long-lost love.

Reed Hastings, founder and CEO, Netflix is excited about expanding its original content in India and said, “We are thrilled to work with a brilliant, young writer like Bilal Siddiqi and take his gripping, inventive storytelling to Netflix members worldwide.”
 
The series is set against the backdrop of the Indian subcontinent and is scheduled for a 2019 release. It is based on a book by Bilal Siddiqi.
