Serena Williams visits Meghan Markle, sparks rumours of being godmother to royal baby Archie

Serena Williams recently visited Meghan Markle, for the first time after the Duchess gave birth to her first child. Reports suggest that the tennis star went with husband Alexis Ohanian to meet Meghan’s kid, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in London. 

Ever since she met the child, reports suggest that Serena could possibly be the godmother to Archie. Serena has been really close to Meghan and the two have met several times since Meghan got married in Britain’s royal family. 

Serena made a quick stop in London on her way to Paris for the French Open Tournament. She even shared a picture and video on Instagram from the palace. 

For those unaware, a godparent in Christianity is someone who presents the child during the ritual of baptism. That person is responsible for the child’s religious education. Usually, godparents are close friends of the child’s parents.
