Sara Ali Khan wins over the Internet as she debuts on 'Koffee With Karan' with dad Saif

Make way for the new star in the block. Sara Ali Khan, daughter of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, made her debut in Koffee With Karan along with her father on Sunday and won over the Internet with her poise, charm, wit, and confidence. 

The young actress, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut in December in Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kedarnath'opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, spoke at length about her equation with her father's second wife, Kareena Kapoor, her 'modern' family and her obsession with the world of acting from a young age.

When host Karan Johar asked how her equation was with Kareena, Sara said, "Kareena still says that `look, you have a mother and you have a great mother at that.` And what I want is for us to be able to be friends."

Speaking about Saif, the `Kedarnath` actor said, "My father also never said that this is your second mother."When Karan joked about Sara calling Kareena `choti maa` the latter replied, "I think Kareena would have a nervous breakdown if I was to call her `choti maa`."

Saif revealed that how he had written a note to Amrita, the day he was to get married to Kareena, wishing her the best for the future. "When I was getting married to Kareena, for some reason, I wrote a note to Amrita saying this is a new chapter starting. I wrote we had a history and something on the lines of good wishes for both of us. I sent it to Kareena to take a look. I sent it across. Sara called me and said, ‘I was coming anyway but now, I am coming with a happy heart.’ I think that story sums up the attitude of everyone involved,” he said.

Calling her's a 'modern family', Sara said that she is a combination of both her parents. "Imagine, I mean Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh have a kid, and that kid is me. Of course, I am weird."

Sara's wit and charm over the internet with most lauding the debutant's confidence and how she held her own throughout the interview without being over-indebted towards Karan Johar, who is producing her second film 'Simmba' opposite Ranveer Singh.
