Short shorts and neon dresses dominated the Saint Laurent walkway in a dramatic, 'black light' show near the Eiffel Tower on February 26.

Dresses glowed in the dark, while the palette stayed mostly black for most of the collection.

Boxy coats were layered with sheer tops and satin pants. Gigantic bows sprouted from glittery mini-dresses, and skirts in cheetah or zebra prints swished with fur frillings.

Textured shorts likened by a critic to evening diapers were paired with embroidered jackets and top hats.

The nine days of runway presentations in Paris, which began on February 25 evening with young labels including France's Jacquemus, follows fashion weeks in New York, London and Milan that also showcased styles for next autumn and winter.

Saint Laurent, one of France's big luxury labels, followed the Dior show, which was held earlier on Tuesday.
