Rishi Kapoor returns from New York with wife Neetu after cancer treatment; see pics

Rishi Kapoor and wife Neetu are finally back in India after having spent almost a year away from home. 

The star couple spent a year in New York as Rishi underwent cancer treatment.

The two were spotted at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday morning. They chose dark coloured shirt and trousers as they waved and smiled at the cameras waiting at the airport. 

Rishi, as he landed back in India, took to Twitter and wrote, “BACK HOME!!!!!! 11 Months 11 days! Thank you all!”

Many of his fans wrote back to him, welcoming him after going through a tough time fighting with cancer. Even in New York, Rishi and Neetu saw hordes of celebs come to attend the duo. 

As they returned, singer Adnan Sami wrote, “Welcome back!! Thrilled!!” A fan wrote, “Sir, That's really a great news!! Welcome back Sir!! The Nation will be the happiest today!!!” 

Asha Bhonsle also wrote to Rishi on Twitter, “You wished me over the phone last year when you were getting your hair & makeup done for a movie. We spoke about you coming home for a meal. Since then you’ve been in USA & I’ve been thinking when will you be back. Take care of yourself.” He promised to visit her in his reply, “Will come over now! Sorry!”

A day before, Anupam Kher had wished the two a safe trip. Anupam, Rishi and Neetu had spent a lot of time together in New York as the former is busy shooting for a project while Rishi and Neetu were there for medical treatment. He wrote, “Dearest #NeetuKapoor and @chintskap!! Here is wishing you a safe trip back to India after being in New York for almost a year. I have mixed feelings. I am happy & sad at the same time. I am going to miss you terribly. We had a great time together. Thank you. Love & prayers.”
