Rishi Kapoor all smiles after meeting his pal Javed Akhtar in New York

Acclaimed writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar paid a visit to his old friend and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who is undergoing medical treatment in the United States.

Overwhelmed by Akhtar's visit and meeting his friend, Rishi Kapoor took Twitter to express his joy and tweeted a picture with Javed Akhtar and wife Neetu Kapoor with a caption, ''Thank you Javed Sahab for entertaining and making us laugh so much. Thank for visiting us! Wish you all super luck for your blockbuster musical shows. Believe RIshime-your show is a breakthrough idea."

Rishi Kapoor recently flew to the US with wife Neetu Kapoor and son Ranbir Kapoor to seek medical treatment. 

Alia Bhatt has also visited Rishi Kapoor along with her rumoured beau Ranbir Kapoor.

Rishi Kapoor was also visited by Anupam Kher and Priyanka Chopra. He had also met Sonali Bendre and her husband Goldie Behl.
