Rihanna became the first black woman to be featured on the cover of British Vogue as images of the iconic singer on the fashion magazine released yesterday.

Rihanna tweeted out the news of her cover on Instagram and gave credits to those who created the look in the caption: “September issue of @britishvogue, styled by @edward_enninful and shot by @nick_knight, on newsstands Friday August 3. Wearing a @prada dress and gloves @savagexfenty lace body. Hair by @yusefhairnyc, make-up by @isamayaffrench using @fentybeauty, floral artistry by @azumamakoto, nails by @jennynails and set design by @tomotattle”

She then tweeted out a series of images from the shoot and wrote: “I’m so honoured to be on the cover of your first September issue with British Vogue @edward_enninful Thank you for considering me!”

In the interview, she expressed what she does best -- being herself and loving it unabashedly. She defended her body type and said that women may be like her as she is ‘thicc’ now.

She also revealed that she will be getting back in shape and will be hitting the gym soon. However, she added that it’s not possible to have a perfect body as she said, "You want to have a butt, then you have a gut. I’ll lose some but not all. And I think of my boobs, like, ‘Imma lose everything, everything goes!’ ”

When Rihanna made it to the US edition of Vogue, she had opened up about online body shaming and said, “You’ve just got to laugh at yourself, honestly. I mean, I know when I’m having a fat day and when I’ve lost weight. I accept all of the bodies.”

Rihanna was last seen in Ocean’s 8 with Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett and more in an out-and-out action drama.
