Ranveer Singh's 'Simmba' is now all set to enter Rs 100 crore mark

Ranveer Singh led cop drama ‘Simmba’ is all set to cross the Rs 100 crore mark, within a week of its release. 

The film had an impressive start as it released in theatres on December 28, 2018. With Rs 20.72 crore collection on opening day, ‘Simmba’ is Singh’s biggest solo hit and also records highest-opening for him. His previous film that was a massive hit last year ‘Padmaavat’, managed to collect Rs 19 crore on opening day.

The film made Rs 21.24 crore on Monday, taking the total to Rs 96.35 crore. As a new day begins, the film is most likely to cross the big mark. 

Also, there is no competition for ‘Simmba’ at the moment at the box office. 

Happy with the film’s response, producer Karan Johar praised the efforts of director Rohit Shetty and lead star Ranveer. He wrote, “Working with @itsrohitshetty has been one of the best experiences of my life! Have learnt so much from his process and his precision! Making a mainstream film that is loved across the audience base is no mean task and he has mastered the art of doing just that!!! He loves his audiences tremendously and only makes movies for them!
