Ranveer Singh's ‘Gully Boy’ earns Rs 72.45 crore within four days of its release

The 'Gully Boy' fever has gripped the nation and how! Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt's film minted Rs. 72.45 crore in its first weekend.Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to share the box office collection of the movie. He wrote, “#GullyBoy has excellent *extended* weekend... Will cross Rs 75 cr today [Mon]... Metros exceptional... Mumbai circuit terrific... Tier-2 cities pick up... Metros to trend strongly on weekdays... Thu 19.40 cr, Fri 13.10 cr, Sat 18.65 cr, Sun 21.30 cr. Total: Rs 72.45 cr. India biz.”‘

'Gully Boy’ earned Rs. 19.40 crore on Thursday but the collections saw a slight dip on Friday with the film minting Rs. 13.10 crore. The film made Rs. 18.65 on Saturday and continued to rule the ticket windows on Sunday, earning Rs. 21.30 crore, taking its total collection to Rs. 72.45 crore.The film is doing exceptionally well in metro cities, especially Mumbai.

Hollywood actor Will Smith also watched the film and shared a video on his Instagram account, praising Ranveer’s rapping skills.`

'Gully Boy` is inspired by the lives of Mumbai street rappers Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy. The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar and released on Valentine`s Day, 14th February.

Apart from this, Ranveer and Alia will also be seen in Karan Johar`s upcoming directorial `Takht`. The period drama also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar in pivotal roles.
