Story highlights

Ranveer seems to have lost a tad of weight as he sports regular wear -- an orange shirt, black denim that is tied to his waist with a black belt and a hairstyle that we have never seen him sporting.

We are not yet over his transformational skills, at least from whatever we have seen Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s 83’ as Kapil Dev and he is back with yet another stunning character -- Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the first look poster of the film featuring Ranveer Singh as he plays a Gujarati man. In the poster, he seems to be caught in a tough spot while he extends his arms to protect the large gathering of veil clad women behind him.

The film is helmed by Divyang Thakkar and is a Yash Raj Films production. It will release after Ranveer Singh’s 83 that stars him as Kapil Dev in a film that chronicles the journey of India’s cricket team captain who got the nation its first world cup trophy. The film also has Deepika Padukone, his real life wife who will be seen playing his reel-life wife, Romi Bhatia.

‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ is as per reports about a story that will talk of how society judges its women. Talking about the film, Ranveer had earlier said that his character is of an ordinary man who ends up doing something extraordinary when he is hurled into a threatening situation.
