As Priyanka gears up for the release of her new film 'The Sky Is Pink', the actress has finally opened up about her exit and Khan's sarcastic comments

We all know that Salman Khan did not take Priyanka Chopra's sudden exit from 'Bharat' well. While promoting the film earlier this year, Salman took sly digs at how Priyanka had decided to walk out of the film at the last moment just to get married to Nick Jonas.

Now, as Priyanka gears up for the release of her new film 'The Sky Is Pink', the actress has finally opened up about her exit and Khan's sarcastic comments. While speaking to a daily, Priyanka said, "The only thing I’d say is that if there was a reaction required you’d have had it by now. Salman is amazing. I’ve always admired him. He came for Nick (Jonas) and my reception, we went to his house, I’m really close to his sister (Arpita Khan). So, there’s never an issue with him."

While promoting 'Bharat', Salman on multiple occassions mentioned Priyanka's exit and how he felt that no one would leave a film just to get married. Priyanka had stated to 'Bharat' director that she was leaving the film as the dates of shoot coincided with her wedding dates.

On one occassion, Salman had even thanked PC for opting out as he could bring in Katrina Kaif in her place. "Thank you, Priyanka! I will always be thankful to her. Bharat was about to go on the floors and just five days before the shooting, Priyanka meets me and says that she wouldn’t be able to work in the film. Now, if Priyanka hadn’t left Bharat, how could we have brought Katrina on board,” he had said.

"Over Bharat, she chose USA in the ‘nick’ of time. She has worked all her life so hard and when she got the biggest film of her life, she dumped the film and got married. Hats off! Usually, people leave the husbands for this,” he had said at another occasion.

'The Sky Is Pink' is going to be Priyanka's first film post her marriage to Nick Jonas. The film has been directed by Shonali Bose and co-stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. Priyanka also serves as a co-producer of the film along with RSVP films.
