Priyanka Chopra may become godmother to Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's baby

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first baby together and it’s been revealed that the couple might have Indian actress Priyanka Chopra as the godmother. 

According to rumours, the royal couple will not consider Kate Middleton and Prince William as godparents of their first child. This after it was rumoured that not everything is okay between the royal couples. 

Apparently, they had a showdown after Meghan was said to talk rudely to Kate’s staff on which she asked Meghan to not interact with them in the said manner. The rift was however not visible to the public as they made their appearance for annual Christmas celebrations. 

It is said that as a result of this rift, Meghan and Harry decided to move out from the Palace and shifted to Frogmore Cottage. 

Meanwhile, it’s said that Priyanka Chopra who is a good friend of Meghan Markle’s could be the godmother to their child.

The royal commentator Andrea Boehlke told a daily: "We've been talking about Jessica Mulroney, she has to have a shoe in. She's Meghan's best friend," while suggesting that Meghan and Harry may not go the traditional way for their baby's christening.

She further added that Meghan may also consider Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and Serena Williams for the role as they are very close with the Duchess of Sussex.

Boehlke also said that the Duchess may even go choose a distant royal relative to be the godparent of her baby Sussex.

"Perhaps Princess Eugenie again. They are very close. She lives in Kensington Palace, very close to them," said Boehlke.

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton and Prince William also chose their distant relatives namely Laura Fellowes - niece of Princess Diana and Zara Tindall - cousin of Prince William to be their three children - George, Charlotte and Louis - godparents.
