The Indian PM Narendra Modi recently addressed the country amid lockdown urging people to focus on “self reliance” in the coming future. Asking to promote everything local as the Indian economy along with the world’s plunges down, Modi asked people to help boost the economy by preferring Made in India over others.

After his address, veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar shared a tweet in which she posted a new song titled ‘Jayatu Jayatu Bharatam- Vasudev Kutumbakkam’ sung by more than 200 singers inspired by the spirit of a self-reliant India amid the coronavirus pandemic. She wrote,  "Our talented ISRA singers came together to make this song inspired by the spirit of 'aatma-nirbhar' India, which is dedicated to the people of India and PM Narendra Modi."

Modi shared the tweet and wrote, "This song will thrill and inspire everyone. It gives a melodious message for the 'aatma-nirbhar' (self-reliant) India.”
