On Friday, as Shoojit Sircar's 'Piku' completed 5 years- the film's leading lady Deepika Padukone paid a heartwarming tribute to her co-star from the film, Irrfan Khan.

Irrfan Khan's demise on April 29 left Bollywood and the entire nation in shock. The actor was 53 and died after a long battle with Cancer. It has been over a week since his demise, but fans, his friends and co-actors are yet to come to terms with the news.

On Friday, as Shoojit Sircar's 'Piku' completed 5 years- the film's leading lady Deepika Padukone paid a heartwarming tribute to her co-star from the film, Irrfan Khan.

Deepika posted a behind-the-scenes photo from the film's set which features Irrfan, Shoojit Sircar and Deepika herself. In the caption, Deepika posted the lyrics of Anupam Roy's song from the film 'Lamhe Guzar Gaye' and wrote, "Rest In Peace Dear Friend"

The film was a slice-of-life drama and featured Deepika Padukone as Piku and Amitabh Bachchan as her father. Irrfan played the character of Rana who takes up the task of driving the father-daughter duo to Kolkata from Delhi. The film was well received by the audience as well as critics and was a commercial success when it released in 2015.

Written by Juhi Chaturvedi, 'Piku' alsi starred Moushumi Chatterjee, Raghuvir Yadav and Jisshu Sengupta.
