Now, Wajid Khan's mother tests COVID-19 positive: Report

The Hindi entertainment industry mourned the loss of music composer Wajid Khan of the famous duo Sajid-Wajid after he died in Mumbai of kidney infection and COVID-19 related severity reportedly.

Now, Wajid’s mother Razina has tested COVID-19 positive as she was taking care of the ailing son in the hospital. She is being looked after at the same hospital. 

According to various media reports, “Wajid’s mother Razina had already contracted coronavirus before the late musician was infected with the virus. Wajid, who was suffering from kidney and throat infection, tested positive for Covid-19 later. Sajid-Wajid’s mother is better now and her condition has improved. She stayed in Surana Sethia hospital to take care of her ailing son. However, she contracted Covid-19 after she came in contact with other coronavirus patients at the hospital.”

Meanwhile, Sajid had confirmed brother Wajid’s condition to PTI and said, “Wajid had underlying kidney issues. He died of a cardiac arrest,” while confirming that the composer had tested positive for Covid-19. 

Wajid Khan was put to rest at Versova cemetery Monday afternoon with close friends and family members in attendance.
