Netflix has now announced the premiere date of the final instalment of its popular series House Of Cards -- which was left on a major cliffhanger in its last one.

House of Cards will return for its sixth and final season on November 2, 2018, with Claire Underwood taking the reigns from Francis Underwood as the United States President.

Francis Underwood played by actor Kevin Spacey will not be returning to the show as he stoked controversy when his name cropped up in several sexual misconduct allegations.

Robin Wright who plays Carrie will be taking centre stage with the season. She has been nominated for five Emmys during her run on the show.

Joining Robin will be new additions Diane Lane, Cody Fern, and Greg Kinnear, as well as returning cast members Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott, and Boris McGiver.
