Nawazuddin Siddiqui's wife Aaliya files for divorce, sends legal notice: Report

Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's wife Aaliya has sent a legal notice to the actor claiming maintenance and divorce.

According to a report, Aaliyah's lawyer has revealed that his client had sent the legal notice on 7th May itself but due to the current given situation, she had also sent the actor a notice separately on 13th May. He also termed that the details in the notice as confidential and sensitive and didn't reveal many details about it.

The notice was sent to the star on May 7 through email and WhatsApp as speed post is not available amid the coronavirus pandemic, lawyer for Aaliya said.

"Mrs Siddiqui, our client, has also sent the notice through WhatsApp. 'Sacred Games' actor hasn't responded to the notice.

"However, Mr Siddiqui has not responded till date. The notice has been sent claiming maintenance and divorce,". The lawyer told a news agency.

The actor is quarantining in his hometown Budhana, Uttar Pradesh, with his family members, where he reached on May 12 after getting permission for travel from the authorities in Maharashtra.

Nawazuddin and Aaliya were married in the year 2009, and share two children, In the year 2017, their marriage had a rough patch, but the couple had refuted divorce rumours then.
