Oberoi, on Monday, got criticized for posting a distasteful meme featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The meme compared the former beauty queen's various relationships with the various stages of elections and featured the actress with her former boyfriends Salman Khan, Oberoi and her husband Abhishek Bachchan with daughter Aradhya.

In the tweet, Vivek wrote, “Haha! creative! No politics here... just life.” Here, take a look".

The Twitterati didn't bat an eye in slamming Oberoi for his inappropriate humour.

The actor had dated Aishwarya Rai Bachchan briefly years back before the couple broke up. Oberoi married Priyanka Alva while Rai tied the knot with actor Abhishek Bachchan.

Oberoi's tweet came in the wake of various exit polls predicting a thumping majority for the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA in the Lok Sabha 2019 polls.

Pollsters predicted the BJP to make a clean sweet in the Hindi heartland of the nation in states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Rajasthan, Gujarat and the national capital.

The results of the seven-phase polls will come out Thursday.
