Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) had issued a show cause notice against Vikas Bahl post allegations imposed on him of sexual harassment.

IFTDA had asked the 'Udta Punjab' producer Vikas Bhal to respond within a week lest he loses his membership from the association. 

The director has responded to the notice and requested the association to not terminate his membership from IFTDA.

The director also said that all those allegations that have been made against him are false and malicious.

He has blamed his ex-'Phantom Films' partners -Anurag Kashyap and Vikram Motwane for defaming him for selfish reasons. He has also filed a defamatory case against them in the Bombay High Court.

Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual harassment by a former employee of 'Phantom Films' a couple of days ago.
