It was earlier reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were planning on spending Thanksgiving with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.

Forget Thanksgiving, looks like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex along with their newborn is ready to ditch Christmas festivities in the palace altogether for family time in the United States.

Remember we told you how Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were planning on spending Thanksgiving with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland. New reports now suggest that they will extend this trip and now be in the States for Christmas too.

This means that they will be bypassing the Christmas cheer and festivities that take place annually with the Queen. They spent the last two Christmas functions at Sandringham, the Queen's country estate in rural Norfolk, about 100 miles north of London.

This year's decision "is in line with the precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen," the spokesperson said as reported by CNN.

The Sussexes along with baby Harrison will be on an extended family vacation from the end of the month.

Meghan and Harry have had a rough year dealing with the British press. Harry recently even took legal action against one of the publications over their "ruthless" campaign against Markle. In a statement, he said, "Unfortunately, my wife has become one of the latest victims of a British tabloid press that wages campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences - a ruthless campaign that has escalated over the past year, throughout her pregnancy and while raising our newborn son."
