Malayalam film star actor Ravi Vallathol passed away at his residence on Saturday afternoon.
The 67-year-old actor had been unwell ever since he retired from acting, and was undergoing treatment in Thiruvananthapuram

He was known for his flawless performance, and he acted in around 50 films and several television serials. He also penned many short stories.

Vallathol entered showbiz through soap operas and plays. Some of his notable performances were in movies like `Mathilukal`, `Naalu Pennungal`, `Vidheyan`, and `Samantharangal`.
He bagged the Kerala State Television Award for Best Actor in 2003 for his role in the series 'American Dreams'.
