Story highlights

For her first episode, she made a rap anthem that had mentions of Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt.

Who doesn’t know Lilly Singh who was previously popular as YouTuber Superwoman (she has dropped the name ever since)? We last told you that she will soon be making her debut as a host of a late night talk show on American television.

The show has just about kickstarted as Lilly has now come out with a savage rap anthem that defines how she plans to direct the talk show. Titled ‘A Little Late With Lilly Singh’, the show which aired on NBC made its debut on YouTube before heading to TV.

For her first episode, Lilly performed a rap and a monologue which shed light on her bisexuality and women of colour.  Her guests for the night were ‘The Mindy Project’ star Mindy Kaling and her ‘The Office’ co-star Rainn Wilson.

She posted a video of the rap and captioned it: “There is no other way I would want to introduce my new show to the world than this rap anthem cold open. I hope this does a good job in explaining to you the type of host I strive to be. Written by me, with love. Let the ride begin 💪🏽❤️ WATCH THE FULL VIDEO. LINK IN MY BIO BOO.”

In her rap, she also made mentions of Bollywood’s leading actresses like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra as she said that they should probably replace the cast of HBO ‘Girls’ as Hollywood is all about minority representation right now.
