Jonas Brothers to end reunion as Nick Jonas relaunches his solo career?

Nick Jonas is all set to start off on his solo career again, so does that mean it's time for the Jonas Brothers to disband? Well, if the latest observations point towards that. 

Recently, the 28-year-old singer posted an image on his Instagram to promote his upcoming solo single, entitled 'Spaceman'. 

 

The following day, The Sun reported that the singer's former band had decided to shelve an album that had been recorded last year, effectively putting a second end to the trio. A source spoke to the publication and noted that the band's separation was partially spurred by the circumstances of the global pandemic and its impact on the music industry.

The insider stated that the band's reunion is effectively over for now. They had an album ready to go and were about to announce it last March but then the pandemic happened and everything was postponed.'

The three brothers then began working on their own projects separately during their respective periods of quarantine and that they have chosen to put the band aside in favor of furthering their respective creative visions. The source did make a point of noting that, although the trio's split was amicable, they were happy to be focusing on themselves at this point in time. 

 

"There’s been no big falling out this time, but realistically it will be a while before they do music as a trio again," the insider said. 

The band initially reformed in 2019 after splitting up six years prior due to deep rifts between its members. The trio released the track Sucker in March of that year to mark their comeback; the single debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. 

The following month, they announced that their fifth studio album, entitled Happiness Begins, would become available in June. The release had its debut at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart and remained there until the release of Taylor Swift's album Lover.

Last year, the band announced that they would be headlining a residency show in Las Vegas that was set to begin in April; the shows were later cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The trio also appeared at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards and performed a then-unreleased song entitled Five More Minutes. In October, the group released their final single before their recent split, entitled I Need You Christmas. 

The trio also announced the impending release of a memoir entitled Blood in 2019; it has since been delayed multiple times.
