In a happy update for Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar fans, the singer has now refuted rumours of her ill health.
Taking to Twitter, Lata on Friday morning wrote: “Namaskar. Meri sehat ke baare mein kuch afwaahein uth rahi hain Lekin aap in par vishwas na karein. Main bilkul swasth hun aur apne ghar mein hun. (translated as: Hello. Don’t believe in the rumours spreading about my ill health. I am healthy and at home)”

Lata is recognised as one of India’s most versatile female singers. She is fondly known by her fans as the ‘Nightingale of India’, for the quality of her voice.
The iconic singer recently shared a photo of a rare purple flower that she shared was named after her, by a florist fan from Argentina.
