Anushka Sharma has proved yet again that she is a good samaritan, remember her speech to a fellow car rider to not litter on the Mumbai streets? Well, now she, along with husband Virat Kohli is not only helping people stranded due to Kerala floods but also the animals who are stuck in the disturbed regions.

They have extended help to people suffering in the state along with donating money to NGOs who are working to save and protect stray animals caught in the area. They reportedly, got in touch with an NGO to rescue stray animals from the flood and treat them with food and medicines.

A long list of stars have come out to support the state of Kerala in these testing times including high-profile names like Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas. Others include Esha Gupta and Vidya Balan who have been urging people to donate whatever they can.

The floods in Kerala have taken a toll of close to 300 people already. Hundreds and thousands of people are now in relief camps, having evacuated their homes due to the emergency.

Anushka will meanwhile be seen in ‘Sui Dhaaga: Made In India’ with Varun Dhawan. Virat has, on the other hand, been busy with cricket.
