Karan Johar becomes the first Bollywood filmmaker to have his wax statue at Madame Tussaud's

Karan Johar is the latest Bollywood celebrity to have got his wax statue at Madame Tussauds Wax museum in Singapore. The director unveiled his wax replica on Thursday morning in Singapore amid fans and some of the filmmaker's friends and family members. Johar's mother, Hiroo Johar was also present at the unveiling event. 

"WAXED!!! At @mtssingapore #madametussauds !! What fun with my mom @hiroojohar and my family!!!!! @anushkaskhanna @priyankaskhanna #masi #payal and my surprise from friends who are too shy to be named!!!"Johar captioned the images on Instagram. 

Johar is the first Bollywood filmmaker to have a wax statue at the museum. The statue, much like the original star, is a selfie lover as it can be seen posing for a selfie, dressed in a black suit. 

A number of Indian actors have got their wax replicas at the Madame Tussauds in the recent past. Deepika Padukone, Diljit Dosanjh and Mahesh Babu also unveiled their wax statues a few weeks ago.
