Kangana Ranaut's 'Queen' gets remade in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam; watch the teasers

It is not every year that you get to see a Bollywood film that stays with you many years after you've watched it. 

Directed by Vikas Bahl, Kangana Ranaut's 'Queen' is one such movie that any young woman can take inspiration from and even after 5 years holds relevance. 

Loosing up all the societal preoccupied norms, struggling through heartbreak and finding oneself in an unfamiliar environment, 'Queen' is a journey of discovering oneself.

The movie did wonders in the box office but more than the numbers, it left an infusing optimism into the minds and hearts of people, especially female watchers.

The 2014 Bollywood hit film 'Queen' did rule everyone's hearts and is now all set to spread the theme to the South of India alibi through remakes. 

Producer Manu Kumaran of Mediente Films International Pvt Ltd has bought the rights of Kangana starrer, 'Queen,' and 'remade' it in four Indian languages - Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. 

The teasers of all the four films were released simultaneously a few days back.

The Kannada remake of 'Queen' is titled as ‘Butterfly’, directed by Ramesh Aravind, dialogues by Mamta Sagar & Ramesh Aravind and stars Parul Yadav. The film is presented by Taizoon Khorakiwala, produced by Manu Kumaran, co-produced by Parul Yadav under the banner of Mediente Films.

The Tamil remake of 'Queen' is titled as ‘Paris Paris’, directed by Ramesh Aravind, dialogues by Thamizhachi Thangapandian and stars Kajal Aggarwal. The film is presented by Taizoon Khorakiwala, produced by Manu Kumaran, co-produced by Parul Yadav under the banner of Mediente Films.

The Telugu remake of 'Queen' is titled as ‘That is Mahalakshmi’ which stars Tamannaah. The film is presented by Taizoon Khorakiwala, produced by Manu Kumaran, co-produced by Parul Yadav under the banner of Mediente Films.

The Malayalam remake of 'Queen' is titled as ‘Zam Zam’, directed by Neelakanta, dialogues by Vipin Radhakrishnan and stars Manjima Mohan and Sunny Wayne. The film is presented by Taizoon Khorakiwala, produced by Manu Kumaran, co-produced by Parul Yadav under the banner of Mediente Films.

The films will be releasing in the first part of 2019. Will the films create the same magic as the original one? One will have to wait and watch.
