Zack Snyder will soon make a comeback into direction with zombie horror-thriller film ‘Army of the Dead’ for Netflix.

Snyder will not only direct but also produce the project along with his partner and wife, Deborah Snyder via their production company called Stone Quarry. Wesley Coller will also produce.

The film is penned by Joby Harold. It is set amid a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, during which a man assembles a group of mercenaries to take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.

The film was earlier under the Warner Bros. but it has now been taken over by Netflix.

Snyder last directed ‘Justice League’ that came out in 2017. He then took an off from films after the suicide of his daughter, Autumn in the same year in the month of May. The couple, Snyder and his wife took a step back from ‘Justice League’ post the suicide, letting Joss Whedon film reshoots and finish post-production. Since then, the duo has been out of the spotlight.

Snyder was most recently attached to ‘Aquaman’ as a producer and also upcoming ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ and ‘Suicide Squad 2’.

"I thought this was a good palate cleanser to really dig in with both hands and make something fun and epic and crazy and bonkers in the best possible way.

Meanwhile, ‘Army of the Dead’ is expected to start shooting this summer.
