Veteran actor and comedian Jerry Stiller, who was best known for his comedy sitcom 'Seinfeld' died from natural causes aged 92, on Monday.

The news was shared by his actor son Ben Stiller, on Twitter."I'm sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller passed away from natural causes," he tweeted. 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' actor added:" He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad."

He and his son Ben performed together in the movie 'Shoeshine', which was nominated for a 1988 Academy Award in the short subject category.

He also wrote an autobiography, name 'Married to Laughter', about his 50 plus year of marriage to her wife and comedic cohort Meara, who died in 2015.

The comedian was born in  New York in 1927,  His character of George Costanza's a short-tempered father on the smash TV show 'Seinfeld', for which he won the Funniest Male Guest Appearance in a TV Series at the American Comedy Awards in 1989. In 1997 he was nominated for an Emmy award for the same role.
