Javed Akhtar denies writing songs for 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic, tweets 'shocked'

A day after the trailer of ‘PM Narendra Modi’ biopic released, Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar tweeted the poster of the film and expressed his shock. 

Javed Akhtar tweeted: “Am shocked to find my name on the poster of this film. Have not written any songs for it."

Akhtar is seen mentioned in the poster, in fact, the list starts with his name.

Meanwhile, the trailer has been receiving a mixed response by the fans as people are divided over whether Vivek Oberoi who plays the current PM’s role in the film -- has been able to look the part or not. 

On being cast for the role, Vivek in an interview said, "I consider Modiji as an inspiration. Modiji is one of those personalities... if he decides something, if he is clear with his vision, he doesn't fear to achieve his goal. It is very inspirational."

The film is directed by Omung Kumar and is slated to release on April 5.
