Ishaan Khatter-Janhvi Kapoor' 'Dhadak' earns Rs 100 crores worldwide

They may be newcomers but Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor have managed to impress one and all with their film 'Dhadak'. The film has crosses the Rs 100 crores mark worldwide. Proud producer Karan Johar shared the news on social media on Wednesday morning. 

"DHADAK!!!!! Wins hearts globally !! 100 crore WORLDWIDE GROSS!!! A rare feat for a film with newcomers! So proud of Janhvi and Ishan! @ShashankKhaitan (sic)" tweeted Johar. 

The film which released two weeks back has been doing steady business in the domestic market as well, revealed trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film has so far earned Rs 63.39 crores in India alone and is still going strong at the box office. 

"#Dhadak has a HEALTHY Weekend 2... Witnesses ample growth on Sat and Sun... In fact, Sun was double of Fri... Speeding towards ₹ 70 cr mark... [Week 2] Fri 2.61 cr, Sat 4.02 cr, Sun 5.20 cr. Total: ₹ 63.39 cr. India biz(Sic)" tweeted Adarsh.

Johar had a few days back, written a note for Janhvi and Ishaan, welcoming them into films. He tweeted, “Looking far and ahead! A new path and an exciting journey awaits them…great films and constant learning! Welcome to the movies you too!!! All of us at @DharmaMovies love you! @ShashankKhaitan @apoorvamehta18(Sic)."

'Dhadak' is a remake of  Marathi blockbuster 'Sairat' which released in 2016.
