Inside pics: Deepika-Ranveer, Hrithik-Sussanne & other B-Town celebs attend U2 concert in Mumbai

Mumbai is the last leg on The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 -- named after the band’s album.

It was a starry night in Mumbai as almost the entire Bollywood turned up for the first-ever live performance of Irish band U2 in India on Sunday. 

Arriving the firsts were Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh who came hand in hand. Then came Hrithik Roshan and his family, Diana Penty, Neha Dhupia, Soha Ali Khan and sisters Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora.

The stars took to their social media profiles to share their photos from the concert. Just like everyone else around, Bollywood was clearly star-struck with the band. 

Hrithik attended the concert with sons Hridaan, Hrehaan and ex-wife Sussanne Khan. Sussanne shared a happy picture of them and wrote, “For the ‘Ones’ who taught us the meaning of lyrics, the ‘mysterious ways’ that life has to ‘ tear down the walls,... ‘ taking us to a place ‘where the streets didn’t need names.. ‘ the kids of the 90’s could have never been half of what we are, WITHOUT YOU... BONO we grew through U!! Thank you for being U2 @u2 #musicmakestheworldgoround.”

Neha Dhupia also posted photos and wrote, “When women in the world are safe, It’s a beautiful day... when sisters go to school with their brothers, it’s a beautiful day ... when women in the world unite to write her story as history it’s a beautiful day ... @u2.” She could be seen with Diana Penty and Soha Ali Khan.

In another series of photos, she posted candid photos with Rannvijay Singha and his wife Prianka Singha as they had a get-together at the concert. She wrote, “What an unbelievable night... raising a toast to @u2 for life.”

Malaika too shared some snaps from the night. She wrote, “Thank u for the music ......... @u2 .. doesn’t get better n closer than this #bono#adam#larry#theedge.” 

She shared a photo with singer Noel Gallagher from the band Oasis on her Instagram story and captioned it, “lovely to meet u.”

Soha Ali Khan also posted a picture from the concert and wrote, "My first concert ever - it had to be them!!! #u2 #joshuatreetour2019"

The concert took place in DY Patil Sports Stadium. U2 had posted ahead of their Mumbai concert as they wrote, “Ahimsa is the highest ideal”.

Mumbai is the last leg on The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 -- named after the band’s album. They performed some of their most popular numbers like 'With Or Without You', 'Where The Streets Have No Name' and 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' from their 1987 album The Joshua Tree. AR Rahman joined band members Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr on stage and performed his single Ahimsa.
