In pics: Anil Kumble, PV Sindhu & other sports stars attend Deepika-Ranveer wedding reception

As expected, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s Bengaluru wedding reception was filled with stars. Before you get confused about which ones from Bollywood flew to the venue, let us tell you that this one was studded with sports stars unlike any other reception party of a Bollywood couple seen before. Stars from different sports were seen coming together to celebrate the handsome couple’s wedding including former cricketer Anil Kumble with wife, badminton star P Gopichand with wife, tennis star PV Sindhu and many more. 

Former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad was also seen with his wife. 

The wedding reception took place in Bengaluru on Wednesday, 21 November. The party saw people mostly from Deepika’s side of the family and friends of Deepika’s father, Prakash Padukone. The venue for the reception was Leela Palace Hotel.

The Bollywood couple looked regal at their first reception as Deepika came out in a gold kanjivaram saree, gifted to her mother from a boutique store in Bengaluru while Ranveer looked dapper in gold and black sherwani by Rohit Bal. See their pictures here. 

After the reception in Bengaluru, Ranveer and Deepika will be hosting another one for their Bollywood colleagues in Mumbai on 1 December at The Grand Hyatt.

They got married in a private ceremony in Villa del Balbiano in Italy's Lake Como.
