The final season will return on April 14, 2019.

HBO hit series ‘Game of Thrones’ will come back for its final season on April 14, 2019. With much being spoken about the plot, the makers have now revealed a new poster.

The new poster when looked at till half the image size will give the impression of the ‘throne’ for which all groups are fighting. When you see it fully, you realise that it is the head of a dragon as it looks on in the camera. Thankfully the eyes are golden like fire so we can safely say that it’s the one that Daenerys still has and not the one that is with the army of the dead. Read how Emilia Clarke, the actress who played Daenerys revealed she suffered from brain disease while filming the show.

Some fans suggest this poster implies that a Targaryen will finally sit on the throne. Whether this is true or not we will know only once the show finally airs.

The final season will have only six episodes but each of them will be longer than the usual.

Meanwhile, 'Game of Thrones' prequel is in the pipeline as actors have been announced for it. The pilot is created by Jane Goldman and George RR Martin. It is set thousands of years before the events of the ‘Game of Thrones’. It will reportedly show the world's descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour.
