Finance minister Piyush Goyal makes reference to war film 'Uri' in budget, Paresh Rawal seen smiling

As the current government presented an Interim Budget today ahead of the general election, Union Finance and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal invited smiles and cheer in the parliament as he mentioned the Indian film industry, ease of making films under their rule and watching Vicky Kaushal starrer war drama film ‘Uri’. These are the biggest takeaways from the budget. 

Goyal announced that a “single window clearance for filmmaking to be made available to filmmakers” along with “anti-camcording provision to be introduced to the Cinematography Act to fight piracy.”

The minister then made a reference to ‘Uri’ as he spoke of how when he saw the film, “there was such a josh in the theatre” to which actor-politician Paresh Rawal was seen smiling. Rawal played the role of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval who was instrumental in the planned surgical strikes on part of India in real life.
