Eid will always remain synonymous to Salman Khan movies. Eid 2020 was supposed to witness a big clash at the box office but not anymore. On Wednesday, Salman Khan himself announced the new release date of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Sooryavanshi'. 

The film is part of Rohit Shetty's cop franchise and was earlier scheduled to release during Eid next year - the same day as Salman Khan's 'Inshallah'. 
Salman Khan posted a photo with director Rohit Shetty as he tweeted, "I always thought of him as my younger brother and today he proves it... #RohitShetty  Sooryavanshi releasing on 27th March, 2020."

'Inshallah' marks the reunion of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan after a long gap. The film also pairs up Salman Khan with Alia Bhatt for the first time. 

Meanwhile, 'Sooryavanshi' was announced in December 2018 at the end of 'Simmba'. The film's shooting is already under its way in Thailand- glimpses of which Kumar himself has given us on social media. The film has Kumar pairing up with Katrina Kaif after many years.
