Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber and Lil Nas X topped the UK charts this summer with the most popular tracks, according to figures released by the Official Charts on Thursday (September 5).

Top of the list compiled from the beginning of June till the end of August was Sheeran and Bieber's 'I Don't Care' which had 755,000 chart sales, 90 million streams across audio and video, and 115,000 downloads.

This was followed closely by Lil Nas X's 'Old Town Road' which accrued 723,000 chart sales, and Lewis Capaldi's 'Someone You Loved' was in third place.

Despite being number one in the UK charts for the last six weeks, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's 'Senorita' came fourth on the list.

Billie Eilish's 'Bad Guy' peaked at number two in the chart back in April, but its continuing success placed it fifth.

Capaldi achieved two tracks in the top 10 this summer and another rising star AJ Tracey made the list with his single 'Ladbroke Grove'.
